Reverse Mortgage Coach Academy

Renewal and continuing education

Active CRMA status after year one is planned as a $99 annual renewal with continuing education. Course catalogs are not published yet.

Enrollment Coming Soon

Proposed credential: Certified Reverse Mortgage Advisor (CRMA). This credential name and acronym are provisional pending trademark clearance. Neither designation has been legally cleared, and neither is a government, HUD, FHA, or NMLS credential.

Why renewal exists

Reverse mortgage rules move. Mortgagee Letters, Principal Limit Factor tables, counseling practices, and state advertising rules do not stay frozen at the date someone first sat an exam. Annual continuing education is how the Academy intends to keep an active credential aligned with current practice.

What $99 is planned to cover

  • Continued active credential status
  • Continuing education
  • Directory listing when the directory launches

The first year of active status is included in the $199 initial certification. Renewal begins after that year. See pricing and the directory.

What this is not

Academy continuing education is not automatically NMLS continuing education, HUD counselor education, or a state license renewal course. If a future module is submitted for a specific CE approval, that approval will be stated on that module. Until then, do not report Academy hours as NMLS CE.

The Certified Reverse Mortgage Advisor remains a knowledge credential. Renewal does not create a license.
